Started working on developing a laptop computer for hotel guests at the beginning of 2008.
Has over 32 technical years in the computer industry in Unix and Windows environments.Worked on the first internet web browser, the first internet database engine and worked to build several successful startups (Pervasive, HAL.com, Hire.com, iBooks.com, etc.) during the dot .com era. Early in his career as a senior programmer and quality expert, Barrett worked at heavyweight computer corporations like Sperry Rand Univac, Control Data Corporation, INTEL, Tandem Computers, Tracor Defense, etc. He worked on projects that designed, built and supported operating systems for mainframe, min-computers, micro-computers and PDA computers.
Barrett is currently an Infrastructure Architect with emphasis on applying Virtual technologies to improve system quality.
